Why Does This Site Exist?

While the possibilities for web development have become nigh endless, so has the complexity increased in many areas. This complexity often comes to the detriment of user experience, accessibility, performance or all of the above. In the web development industry the buzz words (looking at you, React) unfortunately still carry a lot of weight for many companies, and so websites tend to be built with tools and frameworks that are overkill.

pragmaticweb.dev aims to show that modern and accessible websites are possible without fancy frameworks or setups, by “utilising the platform” as they say. There is not much going on here yet, but if you are interested, you can take a look at how I built this website.

This site is mainly meant as a personal knowledge base for everything software and web related. But if others can find anything helpful here too, that is even better.

And if you find anything out of order, a bug, or you want to tell me something in general, please feel free to reach out to me via email at .
